Delicious Eco/Local/Veggie Friendly Restaurant
Today I had the wonderful opportunity to visit a fairly new restaurant in Minneapolis (opened July '07). The food was absolutely wonderful, the atmosphere very comfortable, and the employees (and owner) friendly and informative. In a society of mass-market, chain-food, questionable practices restaurants, I seek out the eating establishments that reflect what Common Grounds commits to. Local, fair-trade, eco-friendly, veggie-friendly, made-from-scratch, customer service friendly, ambiance-rich are just some of the adjectives and phrases I would use to describe this restaurant. Previously home to Soba, this newly eco-renovated business is under new management and has gotten me to travel back to it's 26th & Lyndale location in Uptown. This will become a regular spot for me among the 3 or 4 restaurants I visit in the Twin Cities.
I wanted to spread the word, because word of mouth is the most powerful marketing tool, and I want this restaurant to succeed and stick around for a long time! Good luck, Danny! You've got my support!
Check out their website for detailed information on their food, restaurant, commitment to high-quality, local, organic, fair-trade food, the community and environment, and providing living wages and benefits for their employees.
